The Publishing Story: The Revolutionary Disciple
We partnered with HIM Publications and Discipleship.org to publish this book. Since HIM Publications is a sister brand under our parent company, we consider this an in-house book. Yet we worked with Discipleship.org to publish it for their national conference and audience.
This book was a unique challenge because we wanted to release it for the National Disciple Making Forum in late 2021—as a hardback book. So we leveraged our relationships with printers and found a great price for a medium-sized offset print run.
Specific Services We Provided
Discipleship.org didn’t have an internal team, so they partnered with our team at YouPublish (in partnership with HIM Publications) to edit, design, and print this book.
We helped them with:
- Total project management
- Developmental editing, macro-editing, copyediting, and proofreading
- Cover design
- Interior design and typesetting
- eBook formatting
- Audiobook production (recording, engineering, proof-listening, and distribution)
- Writing the back cover copy, listing on Amazon, and ordering a medium print run through a third-party vendor
Working with multiple authors and multiple editors at each level of the process, this is a book we’re proud of! We worked with HIM Publications and Discipleship.org to publish The Revolutionary Disciple on September 21, 2021, for readers around the world.
We appreciate Geary Tanner’s kind endorsement of our services: “If you want a trustworthy and knowledgeable source for book production, we can tell you whom to call. Discipleship.org has depended on Chad Harrington and his team since 2015. Not only do they perform excellent, accurate work, but we can also depend on their team’s unique knowledge and understanding of disciple making to confirm that the messaging in our books is correct. Use YouPublish!”
More About the Book

Is It Time for Another Revolution?
Seismic culture shifts leave Christians wondering how to effect lasting change. While the Bible calls disciples of Jesus to humility, they often display pride. Pride is the enemy of discipleship on every level, and it keeps disciples from making an impact for the kingdom.
What is the way forward?
In The Revolutionary Disciple, Jim Putman and Chad Harrington offer clear guidance for navigating cultural changes with humility. They walk readers through the Five Spheres of Discipleship and unveil their four core practices of humility along the way. A tapestry of Scripture and stories, this book uncovers the path to ultimate peace for Christians who want a cultural revolution.
Take ground for your church, your family, and the kingdom.
Bridge the gap between the call to follow Jesus and the commission to make disciples of Jesus.
Join the revolution.
Learn to walk humbly with Jesus in every area of life.
