Outstanding experience

As this was my second book with YouPublish, I expected nothing less than perfection, and got exactly what I expected. Having dealt over the years with publishers large and small, as well as other self-publishing companies, I can testify that working with YouPublish is a singularly outstanding experience. If you are looking to self-publish, look no further.

The Publishing Story: Social Justice, the Big Bang, and the Meaning of Life

F. LaGard Smith reached out to us after we worked with him on a previous book, The Gospel According to Shakespeare. LaGard Smith has authored over 30 books, and he’s got an incredible history. This time, he wanted to publish his book, Social Justice, the Big Bang, and the Meaning of Life.

Specific Services We Provided

We helped with:

  • Project management
  • Cover design
  • Interior design and typesetting
  • eBook formatting

Social Justice, the Big Bang, and the Meaning of Life was published August 10, 2023.

It was an honor to work with LaGard a second time. We enjoyed the challenge of developing a cover that depicted the Big Bang. We landed on something striking that LaGard was happy with!

We appreciate LaGard’s kind endorsement: “I expected nothing less than perfection and got exactly what I expected.”

More About the Book

From the back cover.

Do your values match your view of origins?

The age of waning faith and shrinking church attendance is the age of increasing social justice awareness. As never before, a younger generation cares deeply about racial, economic, gender, and environmental issues.

At the same time, this is a science-oriented generation, convinced of naturalistic origins of the universe and humankind. Few stop to question whether their view of origins is consistent with the ideals of social justice about which they are so passionate. Origins and outcomes are important.

If you find this intriguing, I’d like to invite you to coffee, as it were, and have a robust conversation. I’m neither a scientist nor a theologian, just a guy who cherishes critical thinking about life’s big issues. Pull up a chair, and let’s talk.

Which view of origins should you choose to live your life by?

  • A Purely Natural Origin?
  • A Supernatural Origin?
  • A Combination of Both?

F. LaGARD SMITH, a career law professor principally at Pepperdine University, is the author of over thirty-five books on law, religion, social issues, and science. LaGard is the compiler and narrator of the best-selling The Daily Bible (the NIV and NLT arranged in chronological order).
